We are having a very busy summer in the Ribeira Sacra. We have had lots of visitors, and we have started the latest phase of building work. The latter has the effect of making feline visitors scarce, during the day anyway. Although they have clearly been helping with the final touches at night! Cats and building demolition have been making us nervous, and we asked the builders to take away the 'escombros muy pronto' as we know how inquisitive kittens can be. Here is Bette Davis checking on progress ... We have been trying to trap NoNeck, aka Rambo, aka BoofHead. Here he is being somewhat foolhardy sitting in the trap. The trap was not set at the time. He seems to have a fondness for a supermarket brand of cat snack sticks ... more are on their way! Our friends from Australia have given a name to a youngish ginger fella, now called Ron. I think it has something to do with Harry Potter. Here he is, eating with Bette and Jessica (who are always together it seems). Jessica must be Bette's distant aunt. And finally, our neighbour Josefa's cat, who does not have a name at all. Josefa says she's not 'guapa', but we disagree. What a beauty! And a 'cat you can cuddle', in the village!
